Gorgeous 6 X 9 genuine Persian Rug, historic lush Kashan pattern, made in 1992. Hand-made, 100% wool. It takes a year to make an authentic Persian rug by hand, hand-knotted, no machines in sight, no made in China. This rug is genuine authentic made in Persia and signed on the back in the corner as is the ancient custom. Don't buy one from Home Depot or Lowes where you can stick your finger right thru the yarn and touch the bur-lap backing. An authentic rug you cannot get your finger thru the yarn because it is so thick and takes months to hand-knot. Rugs in the stores look pretty but they are thin like a latch-hook and wear out in a couple of months. An authentic persian rug will last your lifetime and your grandchildren's, too. And beyond. Many antique rugs are over a hundred years old and still look like new even with heavy traffic. That is the quality of these "magic flying carpets". I am the original and only owner. Had it appraised in this economy at $5,000 (although in a good economy a rug like this is worth $10,000). We are letting it go for $2,500.
