Warmblood - Extra Large - Adult - Male - Horse - Goliath
Description
UPDATE: October 15, 2007 To good home only - reduced adoption fee $2000 obo. Will negotiate payment plan or lease to own on my farm. Great for beginners or the husband just going along for the ride. September 16, 2009 Goliath allows children to ride him with ease. My 13 year old son, who does not ride, walked and trotted him by himself in our pasture yesterday. I also hooked Goliath up to a cart and guess what? He drives!!!! Amazing how this animal is well versed. Ready for a new home. County did NOT PAY a dime, so adoption fee is negotiable to right home. Remember, he is part Frisian and worth a lot more than what his adoption fee is set at to begin with. Give me a call to see if this horse picks you to be his new human. September 2, 2009, I took Goliath to San Felasco to test trail experience. He is a SLOW mover and good for the less experienced person. Walk trot only. He did not want to canter out, and is very good with cues to move out into a trot. Only need to keep his nose away from other horses and he is very very respectful to passing horses, geldings, mares included. One thing I have to note is that he maybe trained to pull carriage. The old owner has a carriage and if memory serves, she stated that he used to pull it. I have an old cart (shaft is about broken) that I intend on hooking him up to to see if he pulls. I will update once I do. Court hearing is Sept 4, 2009, stay tuned for updates on adoption fee changes. August 16, 2009 - Goliath has been placed with 3 mares to help him learn a new way of life. He is still thinking he is a stallion, but is a little more laid back. My mare is putting him in his place. I do not know if he neck reins, but intend on riding this weekend to see what is level of experience really is. If you are interested in Goliath, please contact me for your visit and to see if he picks you to become is forever love. Fresian Cross - Is now gelded and READY FOR ADOPTION TO RIGHT HOME! We are unsure if his other part is quarter horse or ?. He stands at 15.3, 19 years young and is wide wide wide. Goliath was brought to me by Gilchrist County Animal Control and it looks like I will have to adopt him out for what I have into him since the lady may skate without paying a dime. I have been to court several times and that is the way it is starting to look. The JUDGE has ordered that the ownership be transferred to the rescues, so he will be available for adoption. Goliath is true solid black with a small white star on his forehead. He is a beautiful wavy mane and tail (tail is still growing). He is a great pleasure to ride. He stands to mount and follows most commands with foot pressure. If I did not know any better, I would have thought he was shown at one time. He is currently very studdish, but very well mannered. He will be gelded on Tuesday 7/14/09 and there will be no limit to what this horse will bring to your enjoyment on the trails. I have even allowed my 16 yr. old son to ride him bareback as you can see in the photo, no reins either! My daughter, 11 yr old, has sat on him as well. If you are interested in Goliath, please feel free to contact me for more information. His adoption fee will be set at $2,250 (to cover the amount I have into bringing him back up to health and to cover the costs of the new horses being brought in for help). Adoption contract will be required, please no-one from Miami/Dade.
